Camphill Community Ballybay is a warm, rural residential service supporting 15 adults with an intellectual disability to live fulfilling, connected lives within a vibrant community setting. Located at Robb Farm, Corraskea, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan (Eircode: A75 E065), the community forms part of Camphill Communities of Ireland’s unique person-centred model of shared living, working and learning.
Set on a large campus that includes a working farm, workshops and five residential homes — Nuin House, Shamrock House, Brigid House, Orchard Cottage and Round House — Ballybay provides a homely, supportive environment where residents are encouraged to discover their gifts, pursue their ambitions and actively participate in community life.
The community offers a vibrant Day Service, including: Weaving, Arts & Crafts, Baking, Café services, Candle making
The organically certified farm is central to life in Ballybay. Residents engage in meaningful land-based activities, including caring for livestock such as cows, pigs, goats, chickens and dogs, alongside birds. The farm also includes a thriving crop garden growing vegetables such as potatoes and leeks, as well as a dedicated herb garden.
Residents are supported by committed staff and short-term co-workers, and regularly access the wider Ballybay community and local services, promoting inclusion and active citizenship.
