Camphill Grangemockler is a warm, rural residential service supporting adults with an intellectual disability to live fulfilling, connected lives within a peaceful and inclusive countryside setting. Located at Ard Cluain, Templemichael, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary (Eircode: E32 TN60), the community forms part of Camphill Communities of Ireland’s unique person-centred model of shared living, working and learning.
Set across beautifully maintained grounds in the heart of rural Tipperary, Grangemockler offers a rich and nurturing environment where residents are closely connected to nature, farming and community life. The site includes extensive farmland with livestock, including calves, alongside manicured gardens and walking pathways that support wellbeing, relaxation and meaningful daily engagement.
The community provides a homely and supportive environment across a number of residential houses, Teach Solas, Mullenalough Farmhouse, Collum Beag, and Ard Collum, where residents are encouraged to develop independence, build relationships and pursue their personal goals within a close-knit and supportive setting.
Life in Grangemockler is active and engaging, with a wide range of on-site and community-based activities that support inclusion and personal development.
Activities include: Arts and creative programmes, Community outings and day trips, Social events and gatherings in the community hall, Gardening and seasonal activities such as flower and apple picking, Community initiatives including litter picking, Attendance at local matches and events.
Residents also benefit from access to a range of Southern Region Day Support Services, including Watergarden (Thomastown), Journeyman, and KCAT Arts Studio, offering additional opportunities for creativity, learning and development.
