Camphill Community Greenacres is a warm, urban residential service supporting up to 7 adults with an intellectual disability to live fulfilling, connected lives within a vibrant and inclusive community setting. Located in Kilmacud, Dublin 14 (Eircode: A94 F5D8), the community forms part of Camphill Communities of Ireland’s unique person-centred model of shared living, working and learning.
Based in a well-connected area of Dublin, Greenacres offers residents the opportunity to engage fully with city life, with easy access to a wide range of cultural, social and community resources. Residents are active participants in their local community, regularly enjoying outings to museums, attractions and social spaces, supporting inclusion, independence and meaningful engagement.
The community provides a homely and supportive environment within Greenacres House and two additional residential units, where residents are encouraged to develop independence, build relationships and pursue their personal goals.
Greenacres also offers an on-site Day Support Service, delivered in line with the New Directions framework. This programme focuses on person-centred planning, promoting inclusion, learning and personal development through a wide range of creative and social activities.
Day Support activities include: Songwriting and music, Arts and pottery, Cooking and life skills, Social outings and community engagement, Gardening and allotment growing.
Creativity is at the heart of life in Greenacres, with residents encouraged to express themselves through music, art and other creative pursuits, while also developing practical skills and confidence.
Residents are also connected to wider Camphill initiatives, including the My Dream Job Programme, supporting pathways to employment, independence and personal achievement.
With dedicated staff and a strong ethos of inclusion, Camphill Community Greenacres supports each individual to live a full and enriched life, one that is connected to community, creativity and opportunity.
