Journeyman Day Opportunites is a standalone day service within Camphill Communities of Ireland offering a broad range of educational, practical and creative programmes that support confidence, independence and meaningful participation. Surrounded by gardens, orchards and farmland, the service combines learning, creativity and community life within a supportive rural setting.
Guided by the HSE New Directions framework, Journeyman supports individuals to explore horticulture, farming, culinary skills, textiles, art, education and employment pathways through person centred and outcome focused supports.

Every programme at Journeyman is designed to support confidence, independence and meaningful participation. Through creativity, horticulture, farming, culinary learning and wellbeing supports, individuals are empowered to explore interests, develop skills and participate fully within community life.
The art and textile studios are filled with colour, creativity and imagination. Participants engage in painting, printing, weaving, card making and seasonal crafts that support self expression, confidence and enjoyment.
The training kitchen is a sociable and practical learning space where individuals develop cooking skills, prepare shared meals and build independence using produce grown within the gardens and orchard.
Gardens, orchards, herb beds and polytunnels create opportunities for learning in organic growing, composting and harvesting. Apples from the orchard are pressed into organic apple juice sold through the community honesty box.
The farmyard provides hands on experiences in animal care and agricultural programmes that support teamwork, responsibility and connection to the natural world through meaningful daily tasks.
Movement sessions, walking groups, outdoor recreation and sensory supports contribute to a culture of wellbeing and inclusion. The Quiet Room and Sensory Room provide calm spaces that support comfort, self regulation and peace of mind.
Journeyman supports individuals to actively participate within community life through creativity, learning, volunteering and shared contribution. Every programme is designed to strengthen confidence, independence and belonging within a connected and supportive environment.
