A Very Special Visit to Camphill Grangemockler! 

There was great excitement recently at Camphill Grangemockler when community members welcomed a very special guest — the famous Liam MacCarthy Cup! 

The cup was brought along by Callum Lanigan, a talented young hurler from the Carrick Swan GAA Club in Carrick-on-Suir. Callum has been recognised for his outstanding performances on the field and was recently named South Tipperary Young Hurler of the Year, highlighting his skill, scoring ability and dedication to the sport. 

Community members and staff were absolutely delighted to see the famous cup up close, take photos, and spend time chatting with Callum during his visit. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to celebrate one of Ireland’s most iconic sporting trophies together. 

There were smiles all around — well… maybe except for the Kilkenny fans!  

The celebrations didn’t stop there. The day finished with a brilliant disco, some fantastic karaoke performances, and plenty of buns and tea to keep the energy going. 

A huge thank you to Callum for taking the time to visit and share such a special piece of Tipperary sporting history with everyone at Camphill Grangemockler.
